Code: EP21 Contents of this page:Description DescriptionBronze powder manufacture dates from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, while aluminium flake powder is essentially a twentieth century product. Although the industrial importance of these materials has greatly increased, especially during the last fifty years, there is no reference work dealing with the production and different applications of aluminium and bronze flake powders. This is the purpose of the present book. Bronze powder is mainly a pigment, particularly for printing inks, metallised papers and other sheet materials. Aluminium flake powder, apart from its pigment applications, is largely used in a great variety of fields, notably in the manufacture of explosives and pyrotechnics and in the production of lightweight concrete. This work deals with the production, properties and varied uses of the metallic flake powders, further chapters being devoted to standard specifications and testing methods. A final chapter concerns the health and safety aspect of the powders. The book contains a large number of worldwide references to scientific, technical and patent literature. Some Worldwide Reviews"The text presents a comprehensive survey of the production, properties and applications of both types of powder. There are useful chapters on relevant standards and also on health and safety. ... probably the first devoted to this topic, it is easy to read, and well illustrated and referenced..."
