Part 1 provides practical factory guidance on inspection and process control from goods inwards and storage through to solder paste or adhesive deposition and component placement.

Part 2 provides similar guidance on assembled printed boards, related rework and despatch. It includes comparison of IEC 61191-2 and IPC visual inspection standards, with supplementary Author’s recommendations where necessary.
